They say a picture is worth a thousand words. They should also say the lazy use it to get out of updating their blog. Here's a round up of some of the recent riding. Lots of fun, lots of good people and this isn't even all of it since I slack on the camera too. First up, some Bootleggers Bliss. Mountain biking and homebrew event put on by Iconoclasst. Video here. Next day Ricky d had a fixed gear ride slated for the Watershed. This is Dylan, he showed up and rocked it. He's 14. Look out. Kevin rock crawling. Fashion goddess Ricky d It's only rock and roll but I like it. Double Dagger and The Jesus Lizard. Fall on the C&O Canal is pretty sweet. And mid-ride beers aren't bad either. Roads with no cars = Utopia Gambrill in the fall with friends is pretty good too. - riderx

Head's up local riders. Loch Raven reservoir is starting to enforce a decade's long regulation that prohibits riding on singletrack. Night riding is 100% off limits and both of these are now being enforced. Lucky riders get a warning, unlucky ones get a $100 ticket. First off, be cool if you encounter an officer out there. Second, stay on top of the issue by following this thread. There will be some public meetings on this issue, first being on Dec. 14th. Good turnout by MTBers and a unified message will be key. No one is happy about the current crackdown but getting angry won't win people to our side. Follow that link above and get involved. On a more positive note, registration for SSWC 2010 will open Dec. 31st. Start saving your pennies, New Zealand won't be cheap for a lot of us. Full details here.
