Wednesday night a few of us went to one of the film festival portions of the The Bike Project. We watched "The Collective", "Roam," and "Seasons", three films of ultra rad riding that of course got me stoked to ride my bike. So, with a beautiful 77 degree day on tap Thursday, I headed up to the local trails and enjoyed the full explosion of leaf color that is happening right now. The only person I ran into on the trails was my friend Jeff who has the privilege of riding his bike for a living (and just won his 2nd NUE title). It was a nice bit of solo riding to recharge the batteries. It could have been longer but there were things to do and I certainly can't complain about the quality of riding I was able to get in.
Tonight (Friday), Klunkerz is set to play. If you haven't seen this history of mountain biking movie, DO IT. It is really a great piece of work. The showing tonight is free, like the rest of the activities. Saturday is an open to the public reception where many of the artists will on hand. The gallery will be open for another few weeks, so don't miss it. I've posted a few teaser shots here. For full details, check out this information post.

SSCXWC09 //
Wednesday - October 21, 2009
You don't have to get on your mountain bike to get into some two wheel dirt racing. Once again Portland host the Single Speed Cyclocross World Championship a.k.a. SSCXWC09. Novemeber 7th and 8th is when the action takes place. Photos from past events lead me to believe it will once again be a big event with plenty of bicycle fun. Registration is open, don't delay.
Raleigh is doing a limited edition frame run painted up with the events colors. Only 50 will be available and one random buyer will get the frame outfitted with some sweet parts. Click that link to see the details and get a frame.
